Rudolf Leitner-Gründberg (*1955 in Linz an der Donau) studied painting at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna under Oswald Oberhuber and Bazon Brock. His work, created over more than 40 years, navigates the tension between painting, drawing, object, and spatial installation as a total work of art. The book presents this virtuosic amalgam in an opulent form. The question of human temporality is at the autobiographical core of Rudolf Leitner-Gründberg's works. With the awareness that time is always oneself, the tangibility of the world becomes the focal point of artistic reflections. The fusion of art and everyday life, and thus the dissolution of their separation, is not merely a claim but a lived practice.
