As the second largest religious community on Earth, Islam holds an important place in the religious and ethics education of elementary schools. Understanding and respecting other religions and ways of life is essential for fostering a prejudice-free and respectful interaction in multicultural classrooms. The young Muslim boy, Mohammed, takes the students by the hand and introduces them to Islam in a hands-on and child-friendly manner. The topics include the beliefs of Islam, customs and rituals in daily life, as well as special occasions in the lives of individuals and families. The 25 learning modules come with a variety of materials for students, as well as learning objective assessments and worksheets as photocopy templates for teachers, which can be used in both regular lessons and independent work.
