The scene takes place in a mental asylum and focuses on three inmates who are nuclear physicists. One believes he is Newton, the other thinks he is Einstein, and the third has a visit from Solomon. They appear to be nice, sympathetic crazies, but nothing is as simple as it seems. Are they really insane, or are they playing a deadly game with the world at stake? Who is serious and who is the spy? Gradually, we learn that each of them has been led down a path to moral destruction, past the signposts of truth, the purity of science, and personal responsibility. The asylum to which their paths have led them seems much healthier than the crazy world they have left behind. 4 women, 16 men.
