This novel is the tragic story of a woman who falls from one misfortune to another. Burdened by the stress of a broken marriage and a nerve-wracking job as a journalist, she impulsively travels to Tunisia to unwind. There, she meets the man who will change her life forever. The handsome Arab, Amor, sees her and knows that she will be his wife. Susceptible to beautiful words, she falls under his charm and falls in love with him. A year later, she gives up her secure existence in Germany, brings her savings to Tunisia, builds a beautiful house by the sea, and marries her seemingly great love. However, Amor has shamefully lied and cheated on her. He married her only for her German citizenship and the other benefits he and his family hoped to gain. Out of sheer fear, deeply hurt and humiliated.
