The Sankt Georg Book explores the city district of Sankt Georg, located near the city center, through six walks. In addition to a tour through the heart of the district and three routes along its northern, eastern, and southern borders, as well as within reach of the Alster, two more walks lead to Hammerbrook and the northern neighboring districts of Borgfelde, Hohenfelde, and parts of Hamm. The excursions cover various topics, including the historical roots of Sankt Georg, its churches, the traces left by craftsmanship and industrialization in the area, old and modern art, the significant hospitals for the district, and the brutal execution rituals of the medieval period. The walks, illustrated with numerous historical and contemporary images, are complemented by a chronicle of important events in the history of Sankt Georg and a section titled "People from Sankt Georg.".
