Martin Klamroth (1855-1890) was a German high school teacher, Arabist, and history of mathematics scholar. He authored various publications on the history of science in medieval Islam, including the transmission of Euclid in the Islamic Middle Ages and excerpts from Greek scholars (Hippocrates of Chios, Galen, Euclid, Nicomachus of Gerasa, Claudius Ptolemy, Aristotle, among others) and the Gospels in the chronicle (Tarikh) of al-Yaqubi in the 9th century. In 1890, he published in Hamburg "The Fifty Oldest Surahs of the Quran in Rhymed German Translation... with an Appendix on the Remaining Meccan Surahs."
