The present history of the city of Leipzig is one of the most comprehensive accounts, starting with the earliest inhabitants of this river area, through the introduction of Christianity, the founding of the university, up to the image of the city in 1539. Illustrated with numerous images. Reprint of the original edition of the first volume from 1897.
