Schymanski's model explains very plausibly and "incidentally" the most common psychological and physical consequences of civilization - ranging from ADHD to depression, and even obesity and cardiovascular diseases. His well-researched yet entertaining book reads like a journey of discovery. However, his findings call into question the appropriateness of the "civilized" way of life as well as a large part of the methods practiced today that focus on symptom suppression.
