This book documents the 30-year collaboration between the artist Max Hunziker (1901-1976) and the Zurich stained glass artist Karl Ganz senior (1904-1970). It began in 1941 and lasted until Karl Ganz's death in 1970. By its nature, stained glass is tied to architecture: it closes a window opening and allows colored light to enter the space, shaping it in a significant way. Max Hunziker once explained that through the colored glass, all light is held back except for the color in which this piece shines for our eyes. In the Thalwil parish house, the 70th anniversary of the designs for the Thalwil church will not only showcase the outstanding work of both artists. Thanks to newly discovered works from the estate of the stained glass artist Karl Ganz, insights into their collaboration will be possible. The exhibited orange glass windows have never been shown before.
