The artist Vaclav Pozarek, who lives in Bern and was born in 1940, is primarily known for his sculptural work. This work combines constructivist and conceptual elements with a reference system that playfully dissolves overly strict logic and systematics. Less known is his magnificent archive on sculpture from antiquity to the present, which places not only his own art but also sculptural work in a broader context. Now, Pozarek's "Library of Sculptures" (LOS) will be dedicated to its own exhibition for the first time at the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur. The accompanying book showcases around 60 characteristic heads from the history of sculpture through Vaclav Pozarek's radically subjective perspective. An additional booklet with images and essays provides background information on his artist library, which consists of the book collection and a photographic archive of sculptures.
