Hans Müller has long been known to EK readers as the author and creator of numerous outstanding recordings of steam operations at the Deutsche Reichsbahn. In 1975, he released a title of the same name in the GDR, which documented steam operations from the late 1950s to around 1975 with magnificent photos. Unfortunately, the long-sold-out book does not come close to today's possibilities for image reproduction. Hans Müller was happy to respond to our inquiry about a new edition, and we present the work in a new format. In addition to the well-known locomotives of the DR, former standard locomotives, private railway vehicles, and state railway locomotives are also represented. There are atmospheric depot shots as well as impressive landscape photos.
