Anyone who reads Hrant Dink's texts can immediately see that he was a radical in the best sense of the word. The texts convey the message that another world is possible. He spoke about the headscarf and the Kurdish issue, about Turkey and the European Union, and of course about Armenians. The texts in this selection come almost exclusively from the newspaper Agos, which Dink founded, and were written between May 1996 and January 2007. Hrant Dink not only wrote reports, commentaries, and analyses. He also enjoyed writing stories that had taken place, sharing his life and the lives of other Armenians. These pieces read like parables. They allow the reader space to empathize and time to draw their own conclusions. These texts clearly show how much Hrant Dink believed in the power of words.
