Product details

It has been almost half a century since the internationally recognized American artist William Wegman (born 1943) came to embrace dogs: in 1970, he discovered the acting talent of his first Weimaraner, "Man Ray," and found his photographic life theme. Since then, Man Ray and an ever-growing number of descendants have appeared in Wegman's films or posed in sometimes adventurous costumes for portraits, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "People Like Us," created in collaboration with renowned photo historian William A. Ewing, is the most extensive selection of Wegman's photographic work to date, featuring over 300 photographs from the last four decades. It showcases the full spectrum of his whimsical to profound imagination, his humor, his artistic background, and, not least, his love for his dogs.
