In his new book "The Architecture of the Dong," Austrian author Klaus Zwerger describes the wooden construction culture of this minority in southern China. He does this evidently at the last possible moment. Amidst breathtakingly rapid changes, this vibrant tradition is at risk of disappearing. Klaus Zwerger gathered extensive knowledge during long stays in southern China and built a large photo archive. This allows him to provide extraordinarily detailed analyses while simultaneously opening up a broad cultural-historical perspective.
