Documentation in social care primarily focuses on the well-being of residents, but this can often only be inferred from their behavior. This is a challenging task! As a result, complaints from the MDK are increasing. Care staff often confuse observation with interpretation, completely overlook the factor of "well-being," and frequently find that a "formulation aid" does not fit the individual resident. It's no surprise that the MDK recommends the use of observation tools (H.I.L.D.E or DCM) - but these are complex and need to be learned first. A quick solution is DI-ABBA. It is easy to learn, consists of just four elements: 1. Offer, 2. Observation, 3. Evaluation, 4. Action, and can be implemented immediately. With DI-ABBA, every offer in social care can be automatically checked for its quality, evaluated, and improved if necessary.
