Product details
The monolingual Spanish reading at level A1 marks the beginning of the new series 'España de arriba a abajo'. This series consists of didactic texts aimed at young readers with levels A1 to B2. In the first volume, the characters, who reappear throughout the series, get to know each other: four young people from different countries come to Barcelona to learn about the language and culture of the country. To earn the necessary money for this, they participate in a new project aimed at presenting the most important cities of Spain along with their monuments, squares, bars, etc., on the internet. To achieve this, the young people explore the different neighborhoods of the respective city, in this case, Barcelona. As a result, readers learn not only vocabulary and grammar but also real details about the city. Additionally, the information is supplemented and illustrated with parts of the city map. Since the protagonists are young people from Germany, England, France, and Italy, the reading allows students to identify with the main characters and leads to intercultural comparisons, a topic that is now essential in any language teaching. The reading itself includes various exercises such as content and interpretation questions, internet research, as well as grammar and vocabulary exercises relevant to the text. At the end of the book, there is a bilingual vocabulary section.
