Spanish for Self-Learners is an innovative, proven teaching resource that covers levels A1 to B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Unlike traditional programs, it is based on a concept of systematic integration of self-study components into the language learning process. Linguistic phenomena are explored independently using the Spanish Grammar for Self-Learners. Classroom instruction with a course leader and learning group is reserved for those activities that can only be partially or not at all accomplished through self-study, particularly the training of oral skills. The concept of Spanish for Self-Learners has been successfully implemented for years at the Language Center of the Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences. It is consistently and deliberately aimed at adult learners who wish to study within a limited timeframe.
