The hiking and cycling map "Mittlerer Harz" is the ideal companion for excursions from the Brocken to Thale. Here, one can undertake challenging tours on foot or by mountain bike into the rugged mountain landscape of the High Harz, as well as find relaxation on gentle trips in the flat northern Harz foothills. In the hilly Harz highlands around Elbingerode and Hasselfelde, you can enjoy expansive deciduous and mixed forests that repeatedly offer delightful views of romantic reservoirs and the Brocken massif. Several marked long-distance hiking trails run through the middle Harz, including large sections of the Harzer Grenzweg, the eastern section of the Harzer Hexen-Stieg, and the Teufelsstieg. In the current edition, we have once again incorporated feedback from hikers as well as from the Harz Club and conducted our own research.
