Erik H. Erikson's theoretical contributions to development and socialization in childhood and adolescence are rightly still a mandatory part of the upper-level curriculum in the subject of education, as documented in the content requirements for the Abitur in basic and advanced courses up to 2013. The present station-based learning allows for the exploration of this thematic complex in accordance with the Abitur-related requirements areas I-III, enabling students to work largely independently and in a clearly competence-oriented manner. The material is didactically prepared in such a way that supportive guidance from the teacher remains possible.
