This manual for planning physical education classes has been completely revised in its 4th edition. This revision has brought about necessary content changes rather than conceptual ones. Additionally, several new chapters have been added in the second part of the book to address the latest developments in sports didactics. The present book is still designed as a workbook for planning physical education classes. Years of experience in training physical education teachers and personal teaching activities have shaped the character of the book. It should not be understood as a general presentation of sports didactics, but rather as a concrete guide for lesson planning. This raises the claim that the entire planning process is depicted and that sufficient guidance for independent lesson planning is provided.
