The paperback on German language teaching has held a firm place in German didactic literature for nearly four decades. This new edition continues this tradition while also setting new accents. Volumes 1 and 2 address the common disciplinary divisions with their focuses on "Language and Media Didactics" and "Literature and Media Didactics," but they also take into account the mediation of language and literature as well as language and literature didactics. Volume 3 opens up another field of reflection, addressing "Current Issues in German Didactics" from an overarching perspective. In addition to the subject matter of German lessons in language and literature, there is a stronger focus on the associated teaching-learning processes and the didactic concepts related to them.
