For nearly 40 years, the Yearbook of Poetry has provided insight into the latest developments in poetry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. For the 32nd edition, Christoph Buchwald has enlisted the help of the award-winning poet Nico Bleutge as co-editor. Together, they have curated the best contemporary poems and organized them into thematic chapters. The poem is the place where details expand into landscapes. It rushes over terraces, visits museums, or wanders through linguistic root systems. Everything can become rhythm here: martens, falcons, and sperm whales, the various forms of love, as well as the spaces between allotment gardens and rural oral traditions. Poets of various generations make the cracks in the capsules of everyday life palpable and show us the traces of history - so that the words may shine.
