Being able to write is important for communication with others: in school, in private life, as well as in professional and social circles. Learning to write takes time and practice, and above all, guidance. The Writing Lexicon aims to assist students in grade 10 and in upper secondary education. The Writing Lexicon for upper secondary education provides students with knowledge about texts and lays the foundation for their own text creation possibilities. Writers first learn about design elements for individual text forms and then see them applied in example texts. This results in a two-part structure for each text form in the Writing Lexicon: An Overview (with a brief definition, areas of use, and design elements) and How to Do It (with reading strategies, writing plans, example texts, and formulation aids).
