The comprehensive modernization process that began in Bulgaria after the end of the socialist era and the country's accession to the EU has led to a new cultural self-understanding and profound changes in the daily lives of the general population. This transformation has been accompanied by an intense reflection on one's own history and culture. The yearbook provides a comprehensive insight into current topics in Bulgarian everyday culture research. These include aspects such as the rediscovery of tradition, the challenges of a socialist competition rhetoric, and the transition from a socialist planned economy to a global economy, the religious life of Muslims, the situation of Turks and migrant workers, as well as changes in attitudes towards youth and gender, along with current discourses on Europeanization. Engaging with these topics contributes to a reflective understanding of the current everyday situation in Bulgaria and the changes in Eastern Europe.
