P.A.U.L. D. for community schools and secondary schools in Baden-Württemberg is based on the guidelines of the 2016 educational plan. The new teaching material covers all areas of the German subject, consistently enables a competence-oriented teaching approach, and promotes independent learning. P.A.U.L. D. offers tasks with varying levels of difficulty to support differentiation and individual learning. Optional tasks for further work and deepening at the end of a learning sequence. The structure of the chapters follows learning modules: The teacher can select from the subchapters of the learning units according to the situation of their students. Promotion of cooperative and independent learning: Corresponding symbols indicate whether tasks are to be completed individually, with a partner, or in groups. There is also the option to use help cards during practice.
