In the PHOENIX workbooks, different entry points are offered for each topic area in an introductory section: subject-oriented, fact-based, problem-oriented, and interaction-promoting. Each topic area contains different development focal points (honeycombs). One or more of the honeycombs can be selected depending on individual interests, agreements in the course, and the guidelines. Between the honeycombs, there are thematic references and mutually continuing networking offers, which allow for a variety of individual course sequences. In all honeycomb chapters, the aspect of educational action is particularly emphasized in a section entitled "Pedagogical Application." Furthermore, action-oriented work perspectives are shown in project proposals. In the subsequent chapters "Reflections" and "Perspectives," current topics are discussed.
