The workbooks provide tested material for optimal language support for children learning German as a second language – before school enrollment and in elementary school. Four workbooks are available for four different proficiency levels. Workbook A can be used even before literacy: in preparatory classes, in preschool, in kindergarten, or in daycare. Working with workbooks B, C, and D requires reading and writing skills. The choice of which workbook a child starts with is based not on age or grade level, but on their language proficiency. Helpful resources accompany each workbook, offering didactic suggestions and extra photocopiable templates, as well as placement aids with mini language tests for quick and accurate assessment at proficiency levels A, B, C, and D.
