The revised edition of "Music Around Us" for grades 5/6 in Bavaria is aligned with the current subject curriculum for music (LehrplanPLUS) and is based on the competencies and subject areas outlined therein. The contents of the four main chapters of "Music Around Us 5/6" – "Speaking – Singing – Making Music," "Movement – Dance – Scene," "Music – Human – Time," and "Music and its Foundations" – correspond to the learning areas established in LehrplanPLUS. The various learning areas are interconnected through appropriate tasks and guidance. The learning area 3 mentioned in LehrplanPLUS (Movement – Dance – Scene) is a new focus of the revision and has been integrated into all chapters, thereby connecting it with the other learning areas. In addition to developed dances, there are numerous movement impulses related to songs.
