Comics, which were undervalued as a cultural fringe product until the late 1990s, are increasingly coming into focus in times of multimedia communication. In comics, the image is distilled to its essence and expanded through the medium of text. In just one to a few images, it is possible to articulate worldview, religious, and social issues, optimized for the attention span of the Web 2.0 generation, while also conveying apparent or actual solutions. However, the exploration of this potential remains largely uncharted territory.
