FASD - a challenge! We have consciously chosen this as the motto for the 17th specialist conference. Is FASD really a challenge? And if so, for whom? And why? Our conclusion after this conference: FASD is a challenge for all professions, for politics, in short, for society as a whole. As parents and caregivers, we see all the challenges that people with FASD have to face in their daily lives. It is precisely these special challenges that drive us forward and motivate us to take action. Our main goal is to further lower the barriers of challenges for people with FASD. People with FASD do not want to take on a special role in society; they want to belong. They want to participate in life just like everyone else. They do not want special services, special kindergartens, special schools, and so on.
