Church radio broadcasts range from breakfast for the soul to the disengagement factor of the church. Michael Kinnen examines the triangle of communication between the Christian message, radio listeners, and the specific characteristics of commercial broadcasting. The focus of the work is a theological justification for radio engagement. Based on central scriptures, church office statements, as well as fundamental theological and religious educational reflections, the author develops quality criteria for church radio broadcasting, identifies tensions between the ideal and the reality, and points out new paths for church private broadcasting engagement with the four P's: Profiling, Personalization, Professionalization, and Partnership.
