The author satisfied his own curiosity about the land and its people through numerous travels, which took him to the most remote and lonely corners of the volcanic island. In doing so, he got to know the real Iceland and discovered what makes this country so fascinating. From these experiences, he compiled 111 reasons. 111 reasons that lead the reader to wonderful, almost otherworldly places, describe the Icelandic mentality, and report on the peculiarities of the Icelanders.
