Currently, 750,000 teachers are practicing their educational profession in various schools across Germany. Many thousands of students have chosen to teach millions of pupils. Some students are considering pursuing a career in teaching. For those who have not yet made a decision, we want to encourage them and present reasons. For those who have already dedicated themselves to the most important profession in the world, we want to highlight that they have made the right choice. The authors collectively have 80 years of school experience and can provide numerous reasons for being a teacher based on the fulfillment their profession has brought them. Therefore, it was not difficult for them to formulate an additional 111 reasons to be a teacher, alongside the first 111. With humor and thoughtfulness, they demonstrate why teachers can be confident that they have chosen the right profession.
