Learning and teaching are undergoing a profound transformation. Learners need little more than a mobile device with internet access to independently access teaching and learning materials available worldwide, regardless of time and place. Learning resources can be retrieved from anywhere, and collaborative learning is easier than ever thanks to online cooperation tools and platforms. However, transferring from a situation where learning occurs to possible application fields or subsequent educational stages is not always free of obstacles. The concept of Seamless Learning addresses this and supports context-spanning learning by providing a framework to tackle the technological and pedagogical challenges of various educational contexts, enabling lifelong, seamless learning. The contributions in this conference volume discuss the topic of "Seamless Learning" from different perspectives and provide an overview of the current scientific discourse as well as practical experiences from various educational institutions.
