The project "Seamotion" was undertaken by Herbert Böttcher in 2004 on two container ships during a seven-week journey from Europe to Brazil, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In 2007, he embarked on a twelve-week round trip from Europe to Brazil, the USA, Venezuela, Brazil, and back to Hamburg. In captivating panoramas, the photographer captured the interplay of sea, wind, and the gliding of the massive container ships. The result is a series of powerful images that showcase the unique beauty of moving seas.
