Engaging with spirituality can provide us with a lot of strength. However, it can also lead us astray. On one hand, this is consciously directed, while on the other hand, it occurs when people themselves walk the wrong path and believe it to be the right one. Many mean well, yet they lead us in the wrong direction, even if unknowingly. Others do this intentionally and with full awareness of their actions. In my own exploration of spirituality, I have fallen for several misconceptions and have had to recognize my errors many times. This process is also ongoing. The topic is complex, and those who wish to lead us astray are often very cunning. But we have the opportunity to protect ourselves. We must remain vigilant and be ready to look at things openly, including our own issues and our susceptibility to manipulation.
