The fifth volume of the successfully established Urtext edition contains the "Dix Pièces" and the "Fantasietta," variations on a Provençal theme, which are published here for the first time revised from the original print. The "Dix Pièces" are manageable in their external form and, like many works of the organist at the Paris church La Madeleine, reflect the intention to create compositions that can be performed equally in worship and concert settings. Similar to the previously published volumes, this edition includes facsimile pages, a critical report with a bibliography, and a detailed preface. It provides insights into the master's biography as well as instrument-specific and performance practice issues. This is the first Urtext edition of the organ works by Théodore Dubois, up to date with current research, featuring music for worship and concert, a comprehensive preface, a critical report (in German/English/French), and facsimile pages.
