The actual purpose of learning is not knowledge, but action. In light of this brief quote from the English philosopher and social scientist, the systemic teaching concept of self-organized learning is presented as a practical trial in a 7th-grade class in Lower Saxony. Initially, the SOL concept is explained in detail, followed by a description of the planning and implementation. In addition to presenting the theoretical approach, practical experiences are particularly highlighted through an SOL teaching example in the subject of Values and Norms on the topic of "Children's Rights." The results are illustrated with the help of several testimonials from both teachers and students.
