Abstract: In a constantly changing world of work and everyday life, a continuous learning process is of utmost importance in order to face changes with the necessary cognitive flexibility, creativity, and innovativeness. Such changes are related, among other things, to increasing technologization and digitization as well as networking of work processes. Shorter product life cycles, decreasing half-lives of knowledge, as well as a growing service sector force companies and employees to find fast, suitable solutions and to constantly update know-how. Knowledge has long since developed into a strategic resource.
