Angela Kolb, born on October 22, 1963, in Halle (Saale), is a German politician of the SPD. She has been the Minister of Justice of the State of Saxony-Anhalt since 2006. After graduating from high school in 1982 in Halle (Saale), Angela Kolb studied law at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, where she graduated as a qualified lawyer in 1986. She then pursued a research degree at the Institute for International Legal Relations at the University of Halle-Wittenberg, completing her doctorate in 1989 with a dissertation titled "The Legal Design of Financial Control in Universal and Socialist International Organizations." After that, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for International Studies at the University of Leipzig until 1991. She then moved to the State Office for the Regulation of Open Property Issues in Halle (Saale).
