Abstract: This thesis deals with the phenomenon of sexual harassment, focusing particularly on the possible motives of the perpetrators as well as the various reactions of the victims and their consequences. The emphasis on the workplace highlights the significance of factors such as power and dependency, as well as the specific courses of action that the work environment offers. After presenting the historical development of the topic, definitions, distinctions, and the extent of sexual harassment in the Federal Republic of Germany are discussed. The main part of the thesis addresses the perpetrators and victims.
