The undiscovered sides of a great author. When W.G. Sebald died in a car accident in the winter of 2001, he was already renowned worldwide as one of the most significant prose writers in the German language. However, only a few connoisseurs knew that Sebald had also been writing poetry for many years: about nature and history, forgetting and remembering. As the editor of this volume, Sven Meyer has gathered everything that Sebald published during his lifetime from magazines and almanacs. Additionally, the author's estate contained numerous fair copies of mostly older poems, from which a selection has been included here. Thus, a collection emerges in chronological order that finally reveals another side of W.G. Sebald's work, spanning from the 1960s to the author's death.
