Too much tidying up is not a solution either! In the forest lives a diligent badger who loves order. He trims flowers, sweeps leaves, cleans the birds, and scrubs their beaks. His overzealous obsession with order and cleanliness astonishes the other animals in the forest, but they can only watch helplessly as the badger cuts down all the trees until their forest gradually looks like a spotless parking lot. A very ugly and dreadful one! Then the badger realizes that he has made a big mistake. And together, they all pitch in to rebuild the forest. Not quite as clean and tidy, but still beautifully livable. The brilliant picture book by award-winning artist Emily Gravett playfully and with a wink conveys that too much order and cleanliness can sometimes be quite harmful.
