Ingo Schulze tells the story of a woman who doesn't really like zoos, but at the Berlin Zoo, she discovers something surprising among flamingos, pufferfish, and the armored rhinoceros: a sense of security. "Here, no joggers are panting around, no cyclists are zooming by; this place is neither suitable for business lunches nor for company parties. (...) The zoo increasingly creates in me a feeling of weightlessness, of being protected, as if I belonged here." Ingo Schulze's narrative is accompanied by sixteen colored and black-and-white woodcuts. This results in a unique artist's book and a sensual reading experience. The book was shortlisted for the "Most Beautiful German Books 2016" by the Stiftung Buchkunst.
