The first coherent representation of the political radicalism of the 1970s. The events of '68 are on everyone's lips: Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and Environment Minister Jürgen Trittin suddenly find themselves in the public spotlight due to their political past, 25 years later. The CDU and FDP are using this confrontation to regain political momentum and are falling back into the ideological frameworks of the past. However, the positive effect of these controversies is that, for the first time, a broader public is discussing the historical upheaval triggered by events 32 years ago. The politicized 1970s, the years of street battles and squatting, of political utopias, Marxist training, founding of leftist parties, and RAF terror have too often been reduced to mere nostalgic memories of veterans.
