A few years ago, the working group on Ennepetal city history sparked the interest of many citizens with its books on "The Names of the Streets in Ennepetal" and "Interesting People from Ennepetal." These works were a great success in the local bookstores, which encouraged us to work on a similar book about historically significant sites in our city, which you now have in your hands. With the work "A Historical City Walk Through Our Beautiful Ennepetal," you hold the result of our efforts. We, the couple Hans Hermann Pöpsel and Helma Fischer-Pöpsel, would like to take you on walks through the various districts of Ennepetal. At each stop, the historical contexts will be briefly explained. For this, we have selected old photos from the city archive.
