Everyone wants it: to be happy! Finding great happiness and inner contentment is a pursuit that transcends generations and countries—whether Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, or atheist. But what is happiness? Is it just a matter of perception? How and where can it be found? Does happiness even exist? Who is truly happy today? Why is there such a thing as the International Day of Happiness or even a Happiness Atlas? In their search for answers, Titus Arnu and Enno Kapitza have stumbled upon the Tsum Valley, the valley of happiness. A sacred Buddhist site where any form of violence against humans and animals is forbidden. Since 2007, this remote high valley in northern Nepal, on the border with Tibet, has been open to tourists. Photographer Enno Kapitza, along with Titus Arnu, embarked on a journey to this different world and time, where the most original way of life still exists.
