Ida is excited. For the first time, she gets to accompany her grandmother over the mountains to the town behind the big forest. Ida's grandmother is the gingerbread woman. She brings Todtmoos gingerbread for Christmas. But storm and snow have delayed them. At the baker's, they fill their baskets and set off. They have no idea what exciting adventures await them along the way. In the town behind the big forest, Jakob wonders if the gingerbread woman has forgotten all of them.
