Silja is a small, lively girl who lives in an old mill in Upper Bavaria. Her parents are teacher Susanne Gogolok and photographer Stefan Rosenboom. When Silja was born nearly five years ago, the three of them became a family – a particularly adventurous one. Her parents wanted to travel with Silja instead of staying at home. With her pacifier and diapers, Silja has already hiked along the coastal paths of Andalusia in a backpack, and the family was happy to be on the road together. So far, Silja has experienced ten big and small trips with her parents. She has been to the Spanish Pyrenees, spent winter in Italian Basilicata, trekked in the Bavarian mountains with a mule, cycled with a trailer in the Scottish Hebrides, and boated in Sweden's Padjelanta National Park. She has seen wolves and played on the beach.
