Is God all-powerful, all-knowing, all-good, and unchanging? Can He be regarded as a person, or is He entirely different? Is He separate from the world, or does He sustain it and intervene in it? These are controversial questions that arise particularly during prayers of petition. The book addresses philosophical, scientific, and theological objections to petitionary prayer and seeks to explore its rational justification. At the same time, it examines the questions of theism and critically analyzes concepts of God.
